Description
The three-year course offers its students a solid basic training in the field of Italian studies.
Within the three years the major scientific and cultural fields are addressed in order to develop and deepen knowledge of Italy.
Literature: history of Italian literature from its origins to the early twentieth century
History: Ancient and medieval Italian history, the Risorgimento, contemporary history
Linguistics: introduction to general linguistics, sociolinguistics, history of language
Culture: disciplines of arts and entertainment (cinema, music), analysis of mass media and Italian society
Translation: literary and technical translation.
The goal is to train students with a broad knowledge related to Italian history and culture and with a set of skills to better face a possible career in the private sector.
It is fundamental in our courses to combine practical and theoretical approaches to the disciplines, with the aim to develop students' reasoning and learning skills.
